Power Rankings: Week 8

Now we've moved past the halfway point of the regular season, we are about to cross into the second half of the entire season. The playoff race will heat up massively over the coming weeks, but who will come out on top? The power rankings are here to shed some light.

1. The Dream Team, 6-1 (1): The leagues best team just keeps going. Though they posted their first sub 100 point week this week, they still remain the best team in the league. As I said last week, the gap between this team and the others continues to narrow, but they should be able to win enough of their remaining games to achieve a playoff berth.

2. Burdettinators, 4-3 (4): Last week is exactly what we have been waiting to see from this team. A team loaded with talent that hasn't put it together thus far finally put it together last week in an impressive performance. Its really a two horse race in their division, but they are squarely in position to take the lead.

3. IKNAN, 5-2 (2): A team that quietly got off to a good start is now quietly struggling. This team has been good, but they haven't been great in recent weeks. Their team is in a flux, and they could soon be headed in the wrong direction if they don't fix it. But, they continue to win games, so its hard for me to move them down.

4. Bear Necessities, 5-2 (3): This team is starting to look like the sum of its parts. A rag tag waiver roster. Theyve been wildly inconsistent lately, and posted some sub par weeks. Like IKNAN, they continue to win, but the early season dominance we've seen by this team could be in the rear view mirror going forward. The next few weeks will be crucial for them.

5. Gridiron Gang, 4-3 (5): A team I am hesitant to move any higher despite their recent success, this team continues to play well. They currently hold the longest winning streak in the LOC and have a winning record for the first time on over two years. The coach needs to nail every player each week in order to win though, something they have always struggled with.

6. The Tuckfards, 5-2 (6): This team is based on 3 players, and that's all. Greg Olsen is the only other player providing any contribution to this team. While the 3 player monster they have is daunting, if any one of then disappoints or were to miss time, they would be relying on luck to win. Bizarrely, this is what has happened so far.

7. Tom's Tyrants, 2-5 (7): Another tough week further casts this teams season into doubt. The coach has been under immense pressure to get every decision right thus far just to give this team a chance, and has failed. While I could still see a turnaround, I feel it may be too late as far as playoffs goes. The curse it appears, is still alive and well.

8. Jeff's Seals, 2-5 (9): I'm stunned at the turnaround this team has had, truly. If they had a few more wins, this coach would be a coach of the year candidate. After losing multiple key starters this team had somehow improved. Its really impressive. Theyve posted nice scores for multiple weeks now, and I cant see it ending. Fantastic job by the new coaches.

9. ADRZ, 2-5 (8): Well, this team just looks like its hungover. After the highs of making playoffs for the first time last season, theyve regressed this year. Their key players are missing time and underperforming which hurts them, and the coach hasn't been able to compensate for it. While a turnaround is still possible, they are firmly heading south right now.

10. Forge Flyers, 0-7 (10): This team just looks like a rudderless ship. They are in complete disarray, and the coach has been unable to steady the ship. Theyve missed out on key waiver moves that could have stabilised the team, and the result is a roster that just cant perform. I hope the coach turns it around, he definitely can. They just need to avoid going 0-14, and salvage some pride
