And boy, hasn't round 2 flown by? We've said goodbye already to some tremendous picks in part 1, and unfortunately we're probably about to say goodbye to some more. Who will make it through to round 3?

DeAngelo Williams, 2015 (62) v Jordy Nelson, 2011 (18)

DeAngelo Williams, #131, 11th pick 11th round, The Dream Team, 1274 yards 11 TDs (193 pts)
Jordy Nelson, #155, 5th pick 16th round, Forge Flyers, 1263 yards 15 TDs (216 pts)

When a back up RB gets 193 points in a season, you just have to tip your hat to a great pick. Likewise, when an unknown veteran receiver goes over 200, you have to be in awe. They also took out some big names, Josh Gordon and Marshawn Lynch.

Reason: Crazy value, awesome production


Peyton Manning, 2013 (30) v Devonta Freeman, 2015 (60)

Peyton Manning, #43, 3rd pick 5th round, Burdettinators, 5477 yards 55 TDs (549 pts)
Devonta Freeman, #99, 3rd pick 9th round, The Tuckfards, 1639 yards 14 TDs (248 pts)

Two more giant picks here. Manning was a large part of Burdettinator's title season, with just a ridiculous 549 points. Freeman (who's drafter laughed at Coach Burdett for the aforementioned pick), was released after a few weeks and went onto have a great season. They knocked out Frank Gore and T.Y Hilton.

Jamaal Charles, 2012 (19) v Jeremy Maclin, 2014 (38)

Jeremy Maclin, #45, 5th pick 5th round, The Dream Team, 1318 yards 10 TDs (192 pts)

Charles was coming off an ACL injury in 2012, which made taking him a massive risk for Coach N. Stubbs. But it was a great gamble and paid off. While Maclin never popped for Andy Reid, he sure did for Chip Kelly, and Coach Nathwani bet his bottom dollar on that. They knocked out Larry Fitzgerald and Mike Evans. 

Winner: Jeremy Maclin
Reason: Hard to beat the value, and Charles was eventually traded away


Doug Martin, 2012 (24) v Ryan Mathews, 2011 (11)

Doug Martin, #46, 6th pick 5th round, IKNAN, 1926 yards 12 TDs (265 pts)
Ryan Mathews, #96, 6th pick 10th round, Burdettinators, 1546 yards 6 TDs (191 pts)

Two dynamic RBs here. Martin was a great pick as a rookie in the 5th round (I believe he even had a 40+ point game against yours truly). While Mathews had been very hit and miss in his career, taking him in the 10th round was a smart play by Burdettinators. They beat Greg Olsen and Doug Martin in round 1.

Reason: Tremendous season, smart risk on a rookie


Eddie Lacy, 2013 (31) v Greg Olsen, 2015 (56)

Coach Burdett took a gamble on the Bama Rookie in 2013, and it paid off handsomely. While few expected Olsen to surpass his previous season numbers, but he did, and Coach Nathwani felt confident enough in that to invest a 6th rounder. They beat Alshon Jeffery and Marques Colston.

Reason: Real hard to find those impactful TEs


Brandon Marshall, 2015 (53) v Martellus Bennett, 2014 (44)

The two former team mates square off hear. Brandon Marshall had a gang busters 2015 for Bear Necessities lasts year, despite being a mere 5th rounder. While Bennett had a good TE year for Coach D. Stubbs just the year before. They knocked out Stevan Ridley and Jarvis Landry.

Steve Smith, 2011 (15) v Rob Gronkowski 2011 (17)

Boy, I feel bad for Smitty. Smith was injury prone, declining, ageing, and now had to play with a raw Rookie QB. But GG thought he was worth the risk in the 14th, and boy was he right. But yeah, hard to beat the value of the other guy...

Julian Edelman, 2013 (32) v Eric Decker, 2015 (59)

Julian Edelman, #107, 7th pick 11th round, IKNAN, 1056 yards 6 TDs (142 pts)
Eric Decker, #92, 8th pick 8th round, Patistan, 1027 yards 12 TDs (168 pts)

Two dynamic weapons here. Edelman was a great pick in the 11th round as a sleeper for the new slot guy, while Eric Decker was the number 2 weapon for Gang Green. But with Fitz Magic, that didn't matter. They knocked out Hakeem Nicks and Mark Ingram.

The Greatest Draft Pick Of All Time (2nd round part 1)

We're into round two and the bracket is starting to heat up! It's still early days in the competition, but this is the round where contenders will start to gain momentum. Here we go.

Mike Wallace, 2010 (4) v LeSean McCoy, 2010 (2)

LeSean McCoy, #49, 9th pick 5th round, Gridiron Gang, 1572 yards 9 TDs (211 pts)

Mike Wallace had a great year for BN, helping them to the Corona Bowl, but LeSean McCoy proved to be absolutely crucial to GG's title run. These two knocked out some pretty good WRs in round one, Demaryius Thomas & Dez Bryant.

Reason: Better value, more points, crucial to the title


Reggie Wayne, 2012 (26) v Allen Robinson, 2015 (57)

A perfect case of old vs new. In this case, both did very well (though new did markedly better). Both were taken in the same round, so it's an even battle. These two knocked out A.J Green and Reggie Bush respectively.

Jeremy Hill, 2014 (49) v DeAndre Hopkins, 2014 (48)

Two late round flyers face off in round two. Both drafted in the same round, same year, but by different coaches. They both had great seasons, and they managed to knock out Golden Tate and Brandon Marshall in round 1.

Reason: ADRZ did file recommendations for his draft in 2014, but alas Hill was an auto draft pick


Marshawn Lynch, 2012 (23) v Larry Fitzgerald, 2015 (61)

Marshawn Lynch, #45, 5th pick 5th round, ADRZ, 1786 yards 12 TDs (251 pts)
Larry Fitzgerald, #115, 7th pick 10th round, The Romosexuals, 1215 yards 9 TDs (175 pts)

Hard to believe after such a strong 2011 Lynch was a 5th round pick. Larry Fitzgerald returned from the wilderness in 2015 (as shown by his 10th round selection). Both players had mightily good seasons, while Lynch knocked out a great season by Gurley, and Fitzgerald knocked himself out.

Reason: Finding an RB1 in round 5 is no small feat


Emmanuel Sanders, 2013 (37) v Wes Welker, 2011 (8)

Wes Welker, #39, 9th pick 4th round, The Dream Team, 1569 yards 11 TDs (223 pts)

Two dynamic short receivers who both had tremendous seasons here (Sanders on a title winning side). Both 4th rounders, Sanders was selected by the experienced Coach Barnes while Welker was snatched by the Rookie Coach Nathwani. They knocked out Vincent Jackson and Tyler Eifert in round 1.

Reason: A lot of savvy went into the Sanders pick, but the rookie coach nailed it


Vernon Davis, 2013 (29) v DeAndre Hopkins, 2015 (50)

Vernon Davis, #26, 6th pick 3rd round, Bear Necessities, 850 yards 13 TDs (163 pts)
DeAndre Hopkins, #28, 4th pick 3rd round, Gridiron Gang, 1521 yards 11 TDs (218 pts)

Taking TEs not named Gronk or Graham high is suicide in most cases, while falling in love with a WR on hard knocks could be foolish. However on these occasions it worked. The 3rd rounders knocked out Russell Wilson and Michael Crabtree.

Winner: DeAndre Hopkins
Reason: This one was so close. But taking a TE that high, no matter the hype, is still a Hail Mary. Coach N. Stubbs made a calculated selection.


Matt Forte, 2010 (5) v Giovani Bernard, 2013 (36)

Giovani Bernard, #145, 5th pick 15th round, IKNAN, 1209 total yards 8 TDs (169 pts)

Two picks in the back half of drafts here. Forte was another RB instrumental in GG's momentous title season. Despite being a 15th round pick, Bernard was crucial to IKNAN's playoff season. Though we all know Coach Nathwani was a big contributor to this pick. They knocked out Jordan Cameron and Kelvin Benjamin.

Reason: Both very good picks, but Forte had an insane season and was crucial to bringing home the title


Cam Newton, 2015 (63) v Adrian Peterson, 2012 (20)

Adrian Peterson, #30, 10th pick 3rd round, Tom’s Tyrants, 2314 yards 13 TDs (309 pts)

Two hotly tipped picks for the greatest here, but we must say goodbye to one. Newton had one of the best fantasy seasons ever, while AP nearly broke the rushing record coming off a serious injury. Both were key to playoff teams, while they knocked out Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones.

Reason: All the risk that went into this pick and the momentous reward make it just an awesome pick

The Greatest Draft Pick Of All Time (1st round part 4)

We've reached the last part of round 1 and boy, I didn't realise how many great picks we've made over the years. But let's not stop now, we need to find the best!

Eddie Lacy 2013 (31) v Alshon Jeffrey 2013 (33)
Burdettinators really so have a penchant for taking rookies. Lacy was one of those rookies in 2013, and yet another good selection. Selected in the 11th round, he put up 1178 yards and 11 TDs (184 pts).

Another example of a great pick ruined by dropping the guy. Alshon Jeffrey was selected by Coach Nathwani in the 12th round in 2013, but he wasn't on the roster long enough to benefit from his 1421 yards and 7 TDs (184 pts).

Reason: both great picks, but Coach Burdett kept his


Greg Olsen 2015 (56) v Marques Colston 2011 (9)
After a great season in 2014, few thought Olsen could top his numbers. Losing Benjamin for the year helped, as Olsen became the primary pass catcher for Carolina, recording 1104 yards and 7 TDs (152 pts). Not bad for Coach Nathwani's 6th round pick.

IKNAN has made a number of great picks through the years, and Colston was certainly one of them. For his 6th round pick, he got 1143 yards and 8 TDs (162 pts). I think Coach Sherwood misled us on how little he paid attention...

Stevan Ridley 2012 (28) v Brandon Marshall 2015 (53)
Ok ok, my bad, an auto drafted player did slip into the bracket...but this is arguably the best of them. Stevan Ridley was a so so RB with fumbling issues, but got 1263 yards and 12 TDs (200 pts) as a 9th round pick in 2012.

You'd think getting older and playing for the Jets would hurt your career. Bear Necessities didn't think so when they took Brandon Marshall in the 5th round, and he exploded for 1502 yards and 14 TDs (234 pts). Fair enough...

Reason: awesome season


Jarvis Landry 2015 (55) v Martellus Bennett 2014 (44)
Jarvis Landry was a sleeper going into 2015, so it was a question of when he'd be taken. Turns out that was round 6 by Tom's Tyrants, and he got 1157 yards and 4 TDs (139 pts) for his investment.

Finding a good TE is like finding a needle in a haystack. Bear Necessities will have been glad they acquired Martellus Bennett in the 10th round on 2014, as he went for 916 yards and 6 TDs (127 pts).

Winner: Martellus Bennett
Reason: for actually finding a decent TE late on


Lamar Miller 2014 (43) v Steve Smith 2011 (15)
Miller had never quite lived up to the hype in his career, but when the hype stopped he actually had a good season. ADRZ got a bargain in the 10th round as he went for 1099 yards and 8 TDs (158 pts) in 2014.

Steve Smith looked to be on the down slope of his career in 2011, but Coach N. Stubbs had faith in Cam Newton to bring him to life. He was right, for a 14th round pick he generated 1394 yards and 7 TDs (181 pts).

Winner: Steve Smith
Reason: incredible value


Rob Gronkowski 2011 (17) v Chris Ivory 2015 (51)
And here we have another sleeper for the best pick of all time. Forge Flyers took Gronk with a 14th round pick in 2011, where he preceded to get 1327 yards and 17 TDs (235 pts). Just ridiculous.

I feel sorry for the following pick, as it was a great pick in its own right. Coach Barnes drafted Chris Ivory with a 4th rounder last year, putting faith in him, he followed through with 1070 yards and 7 TDs (149 pts).

Hakeem Nicks 2010 (3) v Julian Edelman 2013 (32)
It's hard to remember when Nicks was relevant, but he was in 2010 when Tom's Tyrants took him with a 6th round pick. For that pick they also got 1052 yards and 11 TDs (171 pts).

After Welker left the Patriots, many thought Amendola would be the new slot guy. IKNAN knew better, taking Julian Edelman in the 11th round and getting the 1056 yards and 6 TDs (141 pts) from Tom Brady's slot man.

Eric Decker 2015 (59) v Mark Ingram 2014 (47)
Another great WR pick by Coach Allen in year one. Patistan took Eric Decker with an 8th round pick last year, and he did well to predict the Jets second receiver would thrive with 1027 yards and 12 TDs (175 pts).

And finally, Mark Ingram hadn't lived up to his potential from college, but he did start to deliver in 2014 when Bear Necessities scooped him up in the 13th round and got 964 yards and 9 TDs (150pts) as a thank you.

Winner: Eric Decker
Reason: close, but Decker delivered more

The Greatest Draft Pick Of All Time (1st round part 3)

We're rolling through the bracket now, and there are some juicy match ups coming up in round two. This is part 3 of 4 in the first round where we're weeding out the contenders from the pretenders.

1st round

Josh Gordon 2013 (34) v DeAngelo Williams 2015 (62)
Josh Gordon had a momentous year in 2013. Unfortunately for IKNAN, he didn't benefit from it due to a roster error. Still would have been great value for a 12th rounder (1646 yards 9 TDs, 218 pts).

DeAngelo Williams was expected to play the back up role in 2015, but he played far more than anyone expected, gaining 1274 yards and 11 TDs (193 pts). Coach Nathwani got a steal in the 11th round.

Winner: DeAngelo Williams
Reason: Gordon had a heck of a season, but the roster error ruined it


Marshawn Lynch 2011 (12) v Jordy Nelson 2011 (18)
Lynch had never lived up to potential in Buffalo, but Coach Nathwani saw opportunity for Lynch in Seattle, spending the 99th pick to get him. Opportunity came knocking, as he rolled to 1416 yards and 13 TDs (219 pts).

Nelson had been in the league a few years and not done much. Not surprising that he was available in the 16th round when Forge Flyers selected him. It just so happens that's the year he popped, posting 1263 yards and 15 TDs (216 pts).

Winner: Jordy Nelson
Reason: incredible value, we don't even have a 16th round anymore


Peyton Manning 2013 (30) v Frank Gore 2012 (25)
Few champions ever lead teams to titles single handedly, but if there's any case for one that did its this. Manning had an earth shattering 5477 yards and 55 TDs (549 pts), leading Burdettinators to the title. He was a mere 5th round pick.

People have been predicting the demise of Frank Gore for years, but it certainly didn't come in 2012 when Tom's Tyrants selected him in the 6th round. He got a cool 1448 yards and 9 TDs (199 pts).

Winner: Peyton Manning
Reason: just a ridiculous stat line


T.Y Hilton 2014 (40) v Devonta Freeman 2015 (60)
Hilton was still an NFL newbie in 2014, but that didn't stop Coach Barnes from selecting him in the 8th round in 2014. He went on to get 1345 yards and 7 TDs (176 pts). Not bad at all.

Another pick spoilt by a bad decision. Devonta Freeman had a marvellous 2015, rattling off 1639 yards and 14 TDs (248 pts). The Tuckfards got great value for him in the 9th, but Coach Leach was the one that benefitted as Coach Merritt released him early on.

Winner: Devonta Freeman
Reason: Despite dropping him it was still a great pick


Larry Fitzgerald 2011 (6) v Jamaal Charles 2012 (19)
One of the most featured players in this bracket, Fitz was selected nearly ever year by IKNAN. In 2011 he was taken with the 27th pick and delivered 1411 yards and 8 TDs (189 pts).

Coming off an ACL tear, Charles was a risk in 2012. Gridiron Gang thought he was worth the gamble, using the 12th pick of the draft to get him. It paid off big time though, as he got a whopping 1745 yards and 8 TDs (222 pts).

Winner: Jamaal Charles
Reason: a big calculated risk that paid off


Jeremy Maclin 2014 (38) v Mike Evans 2014 (42)
Maclin had been in the league a few years but never quite put it together. With Chip Kelly, Coach Nathwani thought it might be his chance. He was right, getting him in the 5th round, Maclin posted 1318 yards and 10 TDs (192 pts).

Coach Burdett isn't one to shy away from a rookie receiver, and that was all too true when he selected Evans in the 9th round. He didn't stay on the roster all too long, but he did get 1051 yards and 12 TDs (177 pts), so he did get it right.

Winner: Jeremy Maclin
Reason: a very smart pick (and he kept hold of him)


Greg Olsen 2014 (45) v Doug Martin 2012 (24)
TEs are a tricky beast, but Coach Merritt seems to have a knack for finding the good ones. In the 12th round in 2014 he selected Greg Olsen, and he went on to get 1008 yards and 6 TDs (137 pts). Not bad for a TE.

Martin was a rookie in 2012 and had a lot of hype about him. IKNAN bought into that, taking him in the 5th round. The hype train did not disappoint, as Martin rattled off 1926 yards and 12 TDs (264 pts).

Winner: Doug Martin
Reason: just a tremendous return for a 5th rounder


Doug Martin 2015 (54) v Ryan Mathews 2011 (11)
After that 2012 season however, Martin never got back to those heights. He did have a renaissance in 2015 though, when Tom's Tyrants also selected him with a 5th rounder. He was rewarded with 1673 yards and 7 TDs (209 pts).

Ryan Mathews has had a similar career to Martin, a couple of great years but the rest not so much. 2011 was one of those good years though, when Burdettinators took him in the 10th round and he went onto record 1546 yards and 6 TDs (190 pts).

Winner: Ryan Mathews
Reason: both great picks, but Mathews was better value

The Greatest Draft Pick Of All Time (1st round part 2)

Vincent Jackson 2012 (27) v Emmanuel Sanders 2014 (37)

Bear Necessities made V Jax the 60th pick in the 2012 draft, and they got a lot of bang for their buck. He went off to record 1384 yards and 8 TDs (186 pts) on the season.

Manny Sanders wasn't expected to have a massive season in 2014. Behind Thomas on the depth chart his upside looked capped. But Coach Barnes saw through that and selected him with the #36 pick, and he got rewarded with 1404 yards and 9 TDs (194 pts).

Winner: Emmanuel Sanders
Reason: A gutsy and savvy pick


Tyler Eifert 2015 (58) v Wes Welker 2011 (8)

Tyler Eifert amassed a superb 13 TDs without even playing all 16 games. He only got 615 yards, but still posted 131 points. Not bad for Tom's Tyrant's 8th round pick.

One of the best slot receivers in the game and Tom Brady's go to guy, Welker had a number of great seasons. 2011 was no different, where he got a whopping 1569 yards and 11 TDs (223 pts). The Dream Team got him in the 4th, what a pick.

Winner: Wes Welker
Reason: Immense production for a slot receiver, and for a mere 4th


Vernon Davis 2013 (29) v Russell Wilson 2014 (46)

Few TEs have been taken in the top 3 rounds and lived up to expectations. Vernon Davis was one of those TEs however. The 3rd round pick that Bear Necessities spent brought a 850 yard and 13 TDs return, good for 163 pts.

Russell Wilson had never been a great fantasy QB, but Coach N. Stubbs liked his potential, so took a punt on him with pick #120 in 2014. What did he get back? Only 3475 passing yards, 849 rushing yards, and 26 TDs (379 pts). Not bad for a 12th rounder.

Winner: Vernon Davis
Reason: Wilson had a great year, but taking a TE in the third and getting that return is terrific


Michael Crabtree 2015 (64) v DeAndre Hopkins 2015 (50)

Michael Crabtree was playing for new LOC team Patistan in 2015. Taken in the 12th round, pick #140, he delivered a tasty 922 yards and 9 TDs (146 pts). Pretty savvy pick for the new coach.

Nuke Hopkins was selected higher in the 2015 draft by Gridiron Gang. Pick #28 to be exact. After being enamoured with him on hard knocks, Coach N. Stubbs got his guy and was rewarded handsomely with 1521 yards and 11 TDs (218 pts). He was a large part of GG's 2015 success.

Winner: DeAndre Hopkins
Reason: A monster season for a third round pick


Matt Forte 2010 (5) v Jordan Cameron 2013 (35)

Gridiron Gang won their only title in 2010, and a large part of that was Matt Forte. Forte generated 1616 yards and 9 TDs (215 pts). It's a pretty good year for a RB, made even better by the fact Coach N. Stubbs got him in the 9th round!

Jordan Cameron nearly went undrafted in 2013, if not for The Tuckfards scooping him up in the 15th. Jordan Cameron assimilated to Coach Merritt's winning ways well, gaining 917 yards and 7 TDs (133 pts) for Cleveland.

Winner: Matt Forte
Reason: Cameron was great for the value, but Forte was next level


Giovani Bernard 2013 (36) v Kelvin Benjamin 2014 (41)

Coach Sherwood selected Gio Bernard with pick #145 in 2013. Surely to be the most pursued undrafted player, IKNAN were thankful for nabbing him, as he returned with 1209 yards and 8 TDs (169 pts).

Kelvin Benjamin was a rookie in 2014, on a team with scarcely another decent WR. Rookie receivers don't usually have the best of seasons, but Coach Sherwood threw away the history book when he took Benjamin with the 8th pick of the 9th round. The history book was wrong, and Benjamin went on to get 1008 yards and 9 TDs (155 pts).

Winner: Giovani Bernard
Reason: both were great picks, but RBs are rare to come by that late in the draft


Cam Newton 2015 (63) v Tony Gonzalez 2011 (13)

Newton has been a bit of an up down player his whole career, and with a bare cupboard of weapons in 2015 the smart money was on it being a down year. But with the 4th pick of the 12th round, #136 overall, the time was right for Coach Sherwood, and Newton went onto score 4473 yards and 45 TDs (449 pts).

Tony Gonzalez was in the twilight of his career in 2011, but Gridiron Gang aren't one to shy away from an all pro veteran. Selecting Gonzalez with pick #110, Gonzalez helped lead GG to the Corona Bowl with 875 yards and 7 TDs (129 pts).

AP was coming off of a ligament tear in the 2012 season. Many players fail to regain their form after such injuries, but Coach Barnes couldn't let AP fall any further than pick #30. AP proceeded to nearly break the rushing yard record, rumbling for 2314 yards and 13 TDs (309 pts). 

Whoever goes up against AP is like a sacrificed lamb to the gods, but Julio had a great rookie season in his own right. A 12th round pick in 2011 by Burdettinators, Julio went on to get 959 yards and 8 TDs.
